New to me...COACH purse

I love Coach. I've carried them all my life. I probably do 1 new one every other year. But lately I've been BORED with the ones that I have been buying. I usually go for the solid brown or black. I once bought a red one that I LOVED. But soon after I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, I realized that I can not carry a purse over my shoulder anymore. So I needed to go to something that does not have a handle long enough to go over my shoulder, because I WILL put it over my shoulder (habit of over 25 years). So for the last few years I've been buying short handle purses.

I decided for my new purse I wanted something fun and bright.

So instead of buying new I went to a couple consignment stores. Found a few cute ones but not any that I really liked. Now when I found this one, I could not figure it out if I liked it or hated it. It was one of those things that could easily go either way.

I have to clean it up a bit, but otherwise it is in really great condition. and for $40.00 (don't tell my husband), I thought it was a great buy.

So what do you think? Let me know.

Merry Little ChRIstMas?

CHRISTMAS?$&!
for crying out loud Jennifer, it is not even October!

I know I know, but I got the new Christmas Tree stamp and Die set from Prickley Pear
and I just had to play with it.

I was able to glue 4 of the trees together and they make a really cool 3-D tree.

And I tied it all together with the red and white butchers twine, and some vintage glass glitter. I loved how this ended up looking.

It's Official!

And I have the certificate to prove it!

Now I have to wait for the Advanced Designer course to come to Minneapolis. I have to tell you, I knew a lot that they covered, but I am glad I took the certification. They did teach a couple new blending techniques and I'm still understanding the numbering system of the markers. I think it will take me a few times of looking it up to remember what it all means. It's going to be one of those things, I'm afraid that will not stick in my memory. (kinda like I can never remember which light switch turns on the outside lights and which turns on the table lamp...the left one or the right one...???)

Paper, stamps over 25 sets of Stampin' Up, card racks, paper racks, tools, ribbon.... a lot to list. Please email me for address. Would love to see/meet you!

It's starting to feel a little "fallish" out.

So I thought what a better way to celebrate that than with a "fallish" card.

This transparency from Prickley Pear is wonderful. One of
my favorite techniques is to add the glitter to the back
of the transparency.

It adds all of that glittery goodness without getting the glitter get all over everything.

I also used the leaf stamp that is in the build a pumpkin kit here. I cut the sentiment off of another transparency, and added it to this card.

I technically think Autumn starts this week or next, I know it is pretty soon.

Have a great week.

Back to School

Already?

In Minnesota, school starts the day after Labor day.

I don't have any kids in school, but it does affect me. Now I either have to get going a little earlier or, go a different way to the freeway. There is a school right across the street, so all of that school traffic fudges up my morning. We will see how it goes tomorrow.

Anyway... I am entering this card into Our Creative Corner's challenge
this week the theme is Alphabet.

I finally got to play with this cute set from Stampin' Up.

Something Wicked this way comes....

So on Saturday and Sunday I stood in line trying to get
Wicked tickets through a Lottery.

No luck.

I had to go downtown 3 times. (About 15 miles away) not a long way, but to figure out the parking was crazy. I really want to see Wicked again, and I want Jon to see it. The theatre is offering rush tickets before each show, and you have to arrive 2.5 hours early to get your name in a bucket and then they only pull out 10 names for the winners. the first time I went there were about 75 people waiting. The second time...a little more maybe 125. and then yesterday there were at least 200 waiting to try to get tickets. Each time only 10 tickets were available. But if you are the lucky ione, you only have to pay $25.00 a ticket compared to 120.00 and the tickets that you can win are in the first 6 rows! The best in the house.

Maybe I'll try later this week?

So instead of seeing Wicked for now, I made this card...enjoy!

I hope you are having fun with the Prickley Pear Blog Hop.

Don't forget to stop by the PP blog and see what they are showcasing each day.

Here is another card I made with the Pumpkin Die-Cut and stamp set.

I can't believe that Halloween is right around the corner.
