A little sunshine on a snowy day

Happy snowy Monday. Yes, we are getting more snow in MN. I guess we are supposed to be getting 6-8 inches more. That is on top of the 18 we just got.

When is it going to end? On a brighter note, Wednesday is my last day of work for almost 2 weeks. The University gets the week between Christmas and New Years off. It is so nice.

Here is a card I did over the weekend, just to get my mind off of the snow.

It is a new stamp set form Prickley Pear. You can find it here.

Happy day!

My work space at my actual work

Happy FRIDAY!
Boy, this was a long week. How did it go for you?

Welcome to my everyday world!
I have had a couple people ask about my work space.

Well..... here it is. My life in a cube.

This is the curtain I have up that I pullover when I am either really busy and can not be interrupted or am eating lunch at my desk, but lately I have had it shut to keep IN the warm air. Our office is cold, and it really does help to shut my curtain.

The walls of my cube. Ruler star. Pictures in matching frames. Things to make my cube cute.

My computer. It is a MAC (LOVE MACs) and my two monitors. Lunch on the desktop. Big diamond under my monitor on the left. A lot of paper samples all over.

O Christmas Tree

Happy Thursday!

First of all I have to show you this picture of Duncan being Duncan and getting into places where he should not be.

He must have been watching birds.

Here is this years tree.

I kept it really simple and only added silver and red garland along with solid color vintage Shiny Brites. I love how it looks. We always put on white lights. These lights randomly blink. (I think you can click on it to enlarge the picture)

It's Tuesday you know what that means... Cuttlebug!

Wholly cow! We have had the snow. A total of 16". Today it is -17 degrees out and that is without the windchill. I have photos of the storm on my other camera I will get them posted later today. So thank goodness for Cuttlebug Tuesday! I needed my mind to get off of all the snow.

Lucky I was snowed in all day Saturday. I did not get out of my jammies all day. I decorated the tree, and did some crafting including this card...

The theme for this week's card is "Happy New Year!"

You will want to join along with Design Team and play along

Warning long post ahead

I know I have not blogged for a while. So I warn you now it is a long post... it is a lot of pictures, but worth the reading.

First of all I caught my two kitties sleeping together on the couch. These boys do love each other, but not enough to do this...

Ying and Yang (real names Duncan-black, and Diesel-white).

Jon and I also found the time to hang our "S" collection. We've been collecting them for the past few years. Our favorite are the ones from old signs.

We put them up over our stairs going downstairs. We left room so our collection can expand.

Now onto the fun crafting supply shopping. Nicole and I went shopping all day Saturday to get her Christmas present for her mom. Lucky her mom loves stamping and paper.

The day before our outing it snowed 8". So Jon had to plow the driveway so Nicky could pick me up.

Jon plowing.

Nicky and I getting ready to go.

First stop Anchor Paper in Plymouth. It is a awesome place to get paper and supplies.

Ribbon aisle! I LOVE this aisle.

Nicky looking at stamps.

Nicky in the clearance paper room.

Next onto lunch at Solo Pizza. I have never been here, so I had to try it.

Nicky's Pizza- I think she got the Brickhouse with mushrooms.

My pizza. I got the Margo with sausage and onions.

Next stop, Jo-Ann's To use our coupons that expired that day.

Now for our last stop, Bakers Square.

Nicky suggested to try the Candy Cane pie. OMG, it is so good!

See, all gone. I almost licked the plate it was so good.

That was it for our outing. We left home at 11:00 and got home at 8:00. It was such a fun day. I don't find enough time to do this very often. I do need to make time for more of this. It was really really fun. Thanks Nicky!
