Vintage Prickley Pear

Wonderful collaboration between PK Glitz and Prickley Pear!

Glitter + Prickly Pear Stamp= Beautiful Card

I wanted to do a vintage card for my next card and
this is what I came up with. I LOVE this card
I did not want to send it to Mary.
Oh well I'll have to make myself one.

You can find this stamp here.

Supplies:
SU make-a-brad
May arts ribbon
PK Glitz glitter
prima flowers
sewing
embossing folder
DCWV and archivers solid paper
Alpha and dots paper-PTI
Versa color pinecone
Momento black ink
linen distress ink
quickie glue
glossy accents
pop dots

Directions:
Emboss alphabet paper, age with distress ink. Stamp and color image. Mat and sew that on brown paper that has been folded to make the card, distress edges. Mat that entire panel with pop-dots on the lace looking paper, that has been mated on brown. Pleat and sew ribbon to the left of the page. Use the make-a-brad put a small amount of quick-drying glue in the top and dip in glitter. Coat that in glossy accents to seal it. Add it to the middle of 3 stacked brown flowers. Glue flower to card.

CPS and Pile It On Challenge card

For this weeks CPS Layout challenge I created a "manly" birthday card. I am always in need of a masculine card and never have one on hand. I am also doing the Pile it on Challenge which was to use 2 different ribbons.

Mission accomplished... layout ✓ and 2 different ribbons ✓

Here's the layout:

Supplies
Paper: DCWV
Ink: Tim Holtz-Walnut distress ink, Stampin' Up
Punches: Fiskars X-Large Star
Stamps: SU
Ribbon: K & Co.
Other: String, SU Clear Embossing powder, Patina Glimmer Mist, Star brads (unknown) and a napkin, Heidi Swapp edge distresser

How: I added glimmer mist to a thick napkin (behind the "happy birthday") and then after I stamped and embossed the happy birthday and added the star brads I again added glimmer mist to that whole block. I really wanted this card to look warm and worn.
