Copic storage and some new fun finds.

I use an old industrial utensil holder from a dishwasher. I found it at one of the thrift stores I shop. Don't remember which one. It works perfectly. It is divided into 8 sections and has handles. But, as you see it is getting pretty full. I might have to change storage pretty soon.

Here is another one I found online that would work well too.
I also got my order from Product Performers and A Muse in the mail on Friday.

New stamp sets from A Muse.

Fun paper pads, ribbon and tape.

Washi tape from Cosmo Cricket

New Stamps!

The stamp sale went well! I sold over half of my stamps that I was selling. I will find out on Thursday how much I sold. A girlfriend and I worked the sale. It was really fun. We also got to buy stamps before the rest of the public. A benefit for working.

Here is what I bought (all for $56.00).

As in past years I need help trying to figure out some of the makers. I have all of the wood mounted ones figured out. I need help with the 5 that are on the CD cases.

Here they are:

Click on images to make larger if you need it.

Please help! I will send you a small gift if you can help me out finding who makes these stamps.

Thanks for all your help.

Just a couple cards

I am going to be going to a retreat at the end of June,
and I said I'd do a couple "shoebox" cards.

***warning if you are going to the retreat
you might not want to look at the
cards that you'll be making.****

The shoebox cards are cards to make and all of the
contents to make the card are in a shoebox.

I made the samples last night and I used the new Prickley Pear
dies and stamps. I really love them. Have you bought them yet?

Here's the owl stamp and die:

Here's the super fun Butterfly stamp and die:

So those are the two shoebox cards that my fellow
retreaters will make.

I hope they like them.

I need your help! Prizes involved.

I bought some stamps at a recent used stamp sale and
for me to be able to use them on cards,
I need to know who made them.

That is where my wonderful readers come in!
Can you help me find out who made all of the stamps shown here?

Click on the picture and it will get larger for you.
I will give away a surprise, prize to all of those who help me find out.

It looks like the birds/tree, cow and girl in overalls are the same maker...
but I have no idea who it is.  Found out they are from High Hopes.
The phone and scissors look like they are from the same company too.

Chinese Take out box -Jim Stephen
China 1916 sealed and the Cheshier cat are both from Stamp Fransisco.

Just leave me a comment, with a vaild email (so I can get your prize to you).

Thank you in advance for all your help.

Christmas cards! DONE :)

They are all done, all 40 of them. I had a hard time deciding what stamp to use, so I used five different ones. All I need to do is write on the inside, address the envelopes, put on a stamp and hand them of to the mailman. I plan on (hopefully) sending them out by the end of next week.

I made more of this one than any other. I really like this image. It is Poppy Stamps "Andrew Angel". Isn't he cute. He looks familiar-right? you've seen him before, I made a birthday card a while back with him on it.

Here are the other four. The pinecone stamp is from the All that Glitters set from Flourishes. I just love the vintage feel of the stamps. There are about five more vintage ornaments in the set. The other three are from Inkadinkado.

Brand new custom stamps

They came in a sheet. I had to stamp them on the cling and then cut them apart.

Here are the 2 for gifts. I mounted them and put them in CD cases. I'm just going to wrap the CD cases this way.

A friend recommended this company Tamp-A-Stamp to get custom stamps made. Yes, it is a little expensive, but worth every cent. I received a discount because I filled up an entire 5X7 sheet. I got 8 stamps made, the cost was $65.00 (that was with the discount). I got 2 with my name and blog address for the backs of the cards I make. I also got 2 of my husbands drawings (the referees) and a old drawing. I had some extra room so I made 2 for gifts (the girl and handmade by). I hope Nicole and Pamela don't see this.

A few ATC's

I've been so bust with cards lately that I have been forgetting to post all of the new ATC's I've made and JAMS I've added to. Finally found some time last night to take pictures of them, and here they are:

This cat ATC is for a animal theme swap I am part of. I decided to stamp and emboss this leopard print on the background. I added black fun flock to the cat so she is fuzzy, also added gem eyes and double stamaped her head so it is another layer that is popped off the card. I always picture domestic/house cats wanting to be the "big" cats so she is saying "roar" with her biggest voice... which you can see is not so big.

This beach theme ATC is for a swap that my local stamping store We're Stampin' Mad in Osseo. I saw something similar to this made into a card, so I altered the design a bit and made it for an ATC. This one is very different for me... no popping up, no moving parts, no over-the-top anything. Just very clean and simple. I guess that it really reflects the theme. I was going to use a fine grit sandpaper as the "sand" but thought that might distract from the cleanness of this card. I happened to find some great shimmery paper at Michaels in two shades of blue, that represent the water really well. I just tore and rolled the edges so that it looked like water washing up on the beach. The shells I stamped with Versamark on the Kraft paper and embossed with clear. I used water color pencils to color in the shells for a soft "sea" look, I really like how the watercolor pencils look.

This ATC is for my small group swap. There are 7 of us to get together once a month to talk, swap, and create. We have so much fun! For this ATC we did not have a theme, we were supposed to use a stamp we really like but never get to use. So I chose this abstract stamp that I have that I've NEVER used. After trying quite a few ways of coloring it, I ended up embossing in black and using my watercolor pencils (again) and coloring it in. After I was all done I thought it looked like a Kandinsky painting during his Bauhaus period. So I found a great quote, it reads "The impact of the acute angle of a triangle on a circle produces an effect no less powerful than the finger of God touching the finger of Adam in Michelangelo" and added it to the ATC. I thought that was quite fitting for this stamp. Hope the girls like it!

The last one was a JAM I was the third and last person. It was started in England, went to North Carolina and then came to me. I added the embossed and colored girl, the pearl earring, the stamps, and the pink ribbon.

That's all. Next time I'll try to do them one-at-a-time. This was a long posting.

Fun new stamps

I've been selling a lot on my Randomvintagefinds and Motherdaughterdesign Etsy sites lately, so I decided to treat myself to some new stamps. The first couple packages came in the mail yesterday so I thought I'd show you.

(sorry for the weird angle, had trouble with the above light reflecting)

The sets on the left are from My Cute Stamps, and the other set is from Flourishes. I LOVE this set. I collect Shiney Bright ornaments so this set was just perfect for me. (Had to get a pad of paper too, just because. That is also from flourishes)

So, my tip for Tuesday, is go and look at these stamps over for yourself, both sites have many more designs.
