Using buttons in scrapbooking and another idea

For years I have been collecting buttons (see here). I find uses here and there; for Doorknob Bags, for the centers of paper flowers or for use on my pennants. I really wanted to find a way to use them in scrapbooking. When we needed a display for our shop, this is what I came up with.

Isn't my mom cute!

Button flowers.

  2. It is just a piece of floral wire bent in half. When I "threaded" the buttons, I just inserted the 2 ends of the wire in the holes of the buttons (layering the buttons smallest to largest). Then you hold the buttons and twist the wire, Making a "leaf" part way down if you want.

    I hope you try it!

  3. Yup, your mom is very cute. Looks to be about "my vintage." Love the use of the buttons as a frame and the flower buttons. I'm going to raid my mom's button box next time I visit her.
