PRICKLEY PEAR!

Time to show off some of the Prickley Pear DT cards that I have been working on, I hope you enjoy them.

King of Hearts—

Size: A2
Cut 3 concentric circles out of card and the 2 colored papers (1.25" out of the white, 1"; out of the red, .75" out of the yellow). Glue those to inside of card. Print saying on computer, trim and glue to front of card. Stamp King on white paper color and trim. Cut red paper slightly larger than king stamped image. Print saying on computer, trim and glue on top of King. Mount with pop dots for dimension. Cover the colored paper inside of card with white paper.

Supplies:
Paper} Solid: (Red and Yellow) Archivers, White-Neenah
Ink} Memories, Copics
Tools} PPRS-King, Computer font courier, pop dots, Marvy circle punches

Love Cat—

Find the cat stamp here. It also uses one of my ALL TIME favorite stamps Linoleum Background. I use this stamp all the time. It is a great stamp to add just a little pattern over a solid, or even over another pattern (like I did here, you can kinda see it over the PP, I clear embossed it)

Size: A2
Cut size of card out of the green paper. Mount red panel on front with the edge punched. Cut another piece of green slightly smaller than the red. Stamp the linoleum stamp on the patterned paper with Versamark and clear embossing powder. Mount that on the smaller green panel. Stamp the cat on white paper and color with Copics. Mount him on a piece of red paper. Put a loop of ribbon behind the panel with the cat on it. Now attach that panel to the card with pop dots. Add a bow. Cut one of the patterned paper flowers out, and attach it to the front of the cat in the cats mouth with the leaf ribbon.

Supplies:
Paper} Solid: (Red and Green) Archivers, White-Neenah Patterned: Memory Box
Ink} Adirondack, Copics
Tools} PPRS-Scribble Cat and Linoleum stamps, SU Clear Embossing powder, EK Success Border Punch, Papertrey Ink red ribbon, May Arts Leaf Ribbon

  2. Hey Jennifer,

Great cards - they feature two of my faves - cats and playing cards! :-)

I stopped by to invite you to visit my blog this week to see what I've done with a few of those beautiful paper "candy" flowers you sent me! The first one is up in today's Love Deeply card - I'll be posting one of the blue and pink ones in the next few days!

I'll also be sharing your blog candy on my WOYWW post this week, assuming nothing unplanned comes up!

    Hugs
    Ramona :-)
