The challenge for the Cuttlebug Spot Design Team this week was to work hat pins into your card. I love working pins into my cards whenever I can.
Lucky for me I just got new rubber in the mail from Prickley Pear and I got this really pretty doily. Man, doily's are so hot right now. I see them everywhere.
As you can see I used mine as a flower. I think it really worked well.
I stamped it in Versamark on pink paper, embossed in clear and then used concord grape distress ink over the embossing.
Do those leaves look familiar? They are the butterfly punch from Stampin' Up.
Recipe
Dies— Scallop Circle nestibles
Dies— Scallop Circle nestibles
Stamps—Doily Prickley Pear, Sentiment PTI
Paper—Solid SU and PP French Paper
Ink—Versa Magic and Distress ink
Punches— Martha Stewart grass, SU scallop border and SU butterfly
Other—Foam tape, Mark Richards pearls, Pearl pins and clear embossing powder
This is so pretty! What a clever idea to use the butterfly punch for the flower leaves!
